The Aftershock movie tells the story of Nicole Paultre-Bell, who at just sixteen, fell in love with Sean Bell. Together, they built a family and dreamed of a life together. But on the morning of their wedding — November 25, 2006 — Sean was shot and killed by undercover police officers in a barrage of fifty bullets.
Two years later, every officer was acquitted, leaving Nicole to face a broken justice system and rebuild her life.
